Taiwan Trip

Finally uploaded my Taiwan photos into my Online Album.

We went to Taiwan from 29 Oct 2012 to 6 Nov 2012 for 9 days but only managed to cover half of Taiwan. I will want to visit there again because the people are friendly enough and places are very nice too ^^ Overall spent around 2.7K for everything (air ticket, accomodation, driver, food, transport, shopping).

Hong Kong Short Trip - Day 1

[23 Nov 2012] Elder bro and Teresa finally get married. Here we fly over to Hong Kong to attend their wedding. 4 hours by Cathay, we reached HK at 3pm.


Dad and younger bro will stay in Island Pacific Hotel while I stay at elder bro's apartment.

After dinner, I joined Teresa's sister to go Sogo for window shopping. Already so late but the city is still so crowded and here ended my day 1.

Met up with Daisy at MV, a small bowl of Pan Mee from Ying Ker Lou. The texture of this Pan Mee is very smooth and soft, can give a try for the small bowl before 12pm.

Back from Taiwan

I'm back from Taiwan.

Other than facial mask which is cheaper in Taiwan, I had bought several Jam Hsiao taiwanese version CDs (from 5Music and CCR) and 3 books (from Eslite Bookstore). Several colourful socks, 2 umbrellas, 2 pair of sport shoes, cloth gloves, scarf and souvenir for friends.

Taiwan Trip Itinerary

MingLi managed to book the AirAsia flight ticket at RM436 to Taiwan early this year in February. We had also booked a driver from Day 2 to Day 5.

Day 1
Upon arrival in TaoYuan International Airport at 3pm, head to Taichung by bus and Taxi. Check in Fengjia accommodation. Dinner at Fengjia night market (逢甲夜市).

Day 2
Driver fetch us to Xitou Monster Village (溪頭妖怪村). Proceed to Jiji Train Station (集集) and CheCheng (车埕). Finally check in Sun Moon Lake hotel and dinner.

Day 3
Boat trip in Sun Moon Lake (日月潭). Later, transfer to Puli town (埔里) to visit Taiwan Paper (廣興紙寮). Then check in Cingjing accommodation. Visit to Sheep farm (青青草原) and Switzerland Garden (小瑞士花园) in Cingjing.

Day 4
Morning at Hehuan mountain (合歡山) to visit WuLing (武嶺), then proceed to journey in Taroko (太鲁阁国家公园). Evening check in to Chishingtan accommodation (七星潭). Dinner at ZhiChiang Night Market (自强夜市).

Day 5
Depart from Hualien to Taipei. Visit YeLiu (野柳地质公园). Transfer to Golden Waterfall (黃金瀑布) and Jiufen (九份). Check in Taipei hotel. Bye to our Driver.

Day 6
Free and easy at own leisure in Taipei. Take MRT to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. Proceed to Taipei Train Station for 铁路便当 Lunch and Taipei Underground Street. Stopped at Nangang station for 几米. Then Wufenpu and Raohe night market.

Day 7
Visit to Discovery Center of Taipei (台北探索馆) and Taipei 101. Lunch at DingTaiFung in 101. Passby Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to Mr.J Restaurant for afternoon tea. Proceed to Eslite Bookstore. Shopping at Ximending.

Day 8
Passby Ximen RedHouse (西門紅樓), then visit Shilin Garden. Proceed to Beitou for Hotspring bath. Then go to Danshui. Dinner at Shilin Night Market. Back to Ximending for shopping.

Day 9
Visit to Longshan temple and back to Ximending. Head to airport in noon.

Mid Autumn Festival at Thean Hou Temple

Last weekend was helping at a charity event, and found out there's a Tanglung competition in Thean Hou temple.


The contestants were quite creative~
