Thaipusam

Some indian drums and trumpets sound woke me up in the midnight. Oh ya, it's Thaipusam tomorrow. They were heading up to Batu Caves through Ipoh road in the early morning, about 3:30am. My colleague, Santhi, had taken a day leave as well.

Farewell Lunch

One of my colleague who joined in last year May resigned today. We had a farewell lunch with him at SS2 New Paris chinese restaurant. We were half an hour late back to office =p

Regarding our office renovation, they had taken away the cubicle beside my desk. It looks empty and with less privacy because the area is so open now. Last time me & HuiYing can turn back to chat with each other at any time or laugh like hell because we were hiding behind the cubicle.

Lion Dance & February Babies

Office building hired lion dance team. Same as last year, they prepared their equipment b4 I arrived office. The team went thru each floor to do their performance, also walked thru each of our walk path in the office.
Another celebration was there were actualy 6 birthday babies of our dept in this month, including myself:) Well, cakes once eaten it's gone and not so special which we eat it almost every year and not only on our bday, it's just a meaning/小意思.

movie at KLCC

Sunny suggested to watch My KungFu SweetHeart and booked tickets for us. It's a comedy movie and not necessary to watch at cinema but it's funny la~ I tot of wanna watch Fearless or Geisha at first but just follow the team lo. And can't use my movie coupon coz not GSC and restricted to movies mark with *. After movie, we went to Sunny's house nearby mamak shop to have a drink b4 sending them home.

Redbox & house visiting

We've booked RedBox karaoke for 11am-2pm session and have chosen many new songs, eg: 恋爱Ing+知足 (MayDay), 旅行的意义(陈琦贞), 同类(YanZi), 真善的夏天(张善为), 星光(SHE), 丝路+瘦瘦的(梁静茹), 天空(Jolin), Right Here Waiting (Richard Marks), How Do I Live Without You, etc.

Our next plan was visiting each of our house. We stopped at Hoon family first, followed by Janet & Sunny. Janet passed us the ShangHai trip details:

It's about RM2300, not only shanghai but added HangZhou, SuZhou, WuXi, Nanjing ang Tongli, all together 7 Days. Our team will have 7 people - Janet/Hoon/Sunny/Me and their parents.

Durian Tunggal

2nd day of CNY, we followed aunt to Durian Tunggal, Malacca - our home town. Normally I go back once or twice a year (during CNY & Ching Ming).

YeeSang gathering

After work, 4 female colleagues of us together with our accountant 'JiMui' aka David out to MidValley's Esquire Kitchen to 'Lou' YeeSang. 'Lou' for our increament/bonus/lengChai/free activities, etc. After spending RM100 above... David paid with his Citi card, only got a RM5 voucher :s

Later on, we still have to hunt for LimYF's bday present. Buy what huh? Tie? Belt? LeeHom kungfu style shirt? T-Back underwear? Perfume? Stopped at Body shop, sales recommended Kristna perfume - RM89, hmm... if we can't think of any... will get this. Walked by Zara, branded cutie underwears strike our eyes. Cool, red color with cats & rats pattern, never known the middle still have a hole... sure can surprise this valentine guy la~ Hopefully won't dissapoint him =p Somemore it's made in Turkey o~ If colleagues don't wanna share this present, we will share among us to buy.

Well, tomolo friday... all chinese will have half day leave, *yeah*. And I'd also applied leave on 3/2 to have a week break. As usual, I'll follow aunt back to Malacca on the 2nd day CNY! Happy Chinese New Year!

House Plan

During dinner, dad showed his dream house plan to me. The architect added wall break decoration for him as the design is too plain. Well, he just want a simple and easy-to-maintain house. The uses of all the balconies are purely for air-con cleaning but not the sight seeing as the first priority. Elder bro mentioned b4 that he would prefer word style for inner design but dad insists not using real wood but tiles in wood graphics to prevent white ants. He'll never agree any wood staircase as wood needs more maintenance such as repaint it, white aluminium will never need to paint.

After few months redrawing the plan, his dream house looks more logical with 2 1/2 storeys. He insists 2nd flr can directly view the whole house, esp the living room, which could let him feel more secure living in it. The realistic thinking of him, putting all toilet/bathroom in the same row on each floor to avoid water leaking on other parts of the house in future, also easy for pipe maintenance. He sure will add the water filter outside of his house to avoid dirty water to be stored in all his tanks coz our current house's tanks are full of mud/dirt after 25yrs+. As mentioned, he prefer simple & cost saving, interior design will not be considered much. They're still amending the plan til he's satisfied.

Bukit Bintang countdown

11am reached TimeSquare to buy KingKong tickets with ChooiFong b4 starting our shopping journey. I bought a grey trouser for work. It's kinda hard to find a correct size. We shopped till hungry and settled at ChikuHo Ramen restaurant again. This time I tried their Jap Fried Rice set.

After filling our stomach, we continued our shopping journey. There's a shop named Kawaii selling many cute-cute things, and also another named Super Cool Hobby which sells horror and mystery stuff. Got a junk food store also selling many korea/jap snacks, interesting.

Around 4:30pm, we met another colleague at cinema before heading to watch KingKong. There were too many ads showing b4 starting the movie, waited abt 30mins. Main actress is so beautiful, ya ho~ looks like nicole kidman as HuiYing mentioned to me. The built city with small old vehicles and buildings were so attractive in scenes. The giant insects made me felt so itchy although it's unreal. Quite worth to watch it in cinema... coz required the sound effect of the kingkong & monsters movements.

Later on, we got no idea where for dinner, so just simply picked Siam Square. It's not a recommended restaurant coz the food came in slow and tasted bad, out of our standard. PohLeng and her 2 friends also joined in. So as David, Michael and his 2 old friends. Wonderful time... given celebration gift by the restaurant before leaving to Bukit Bintang for countdown.

Along the way, the monorails would play their horns as greeting everybody! Many ppl were spraying each other blindly, kinda adventurous to cross the Sg Wang main road. HuiYing finally met us at Bread Story to vanish her 'ffk queen' nickname coz always fong fei kei recently. We picked a good spot to watch the fireworks sharp at 1/1, yeah! Neck was kinda pain when seeing the fireworks too long at the sky~ Last few burnings sure was the best! The area was having terrible traffic jam, so we decided to stay and had drinks till 2am+, by the time I reached home it's already 3am.

Dad on ward

Christmas eve, dad's having breathing problem. Younger bro drove him to clinic and was sent to General Hospital bcoz of heart problem. He stayed overnight in hospital to do health check, the report will be out this afternoon. We were allowed to visit him at lunch time.

Aunty & cousin AhZhi from Malacca came up KL coz AhZhi will back to uni again next week. Aunty cooked our favourite Mian Ban Kuih, aka Pan Mee. Used tepung+oil+salt to roll up and made them into pieces. Finally pour into the KongYiChai soup~ Eat with fried unions is very delicious.
We also brought some for dad's dinner in hospital. Well, the doctor didn't come in today, so still have to stay for another night until doctor signed and let him go back home.

Genki Sushi gathering

Elder bro intro a friend of him, Xiao Lan, at Genki Sushi. Later on, bro's laptop was picked up at Glenmarie - Toshiba Tele Dynamics. In the middle of the building design, there's a skylight/courtyard with very green grass surrounding a walking path from one side to another. There's an artificial moden waterfall to emphasize the nature of this architecture.

Elder bro gave me his old Sony Ericson K700i while he still have his K750i. Well, europe phone software is not compatible to asia countries. So, it was sent to a phone shop for new software installation, costed RM25.

Sim card replacement & Faye

Yesterday called up Maxis hotline to block my card. Approached Maxis customer service center, I filled up a Lost Sim Card form and had given my 3 latest numbers which I dialed/SMS within this 2 weeks to their representative. My Hotlink card shell which hold the Sim Card was shown to them as a prove that the Sim Card was mine, they photostated it and together bind with my IC. Soon, they gave a new sim card with my same handphone number and transfer all my balance RM92 into it. However, the process will deduct RM10 from my balance. Later on, me & my elder bro went over to K Avenue's Kim Gary restaurant for lunch.

Malacca Trip

My colleague booked an apartments in Malacca and invited everyone to join the trip and celeb his bday this weekend. Early the morning, we gathered at one of the colleagues' house. Then we headed to have our breakfast at SS2 before going to highway.

14 of us divided into 3 cars. My group stopped at Seremban to buy a birthday cake and famous Seremban Siew Pow. Around 2pm, we reached Malacca city and had lunch at Famosa Chicken Rice Ball restaurant, Jonker Street. Back to car park, 3 cars of us kena saman RM30.

On the way to our Garden City Services Apartment in Bandar Hilir, we stopped at Stadthuys building to take photos. After check-in, we decided to visit Taman Buaya at 5pm b4 closing.
After parking our cars in Jusco, we walked over to Jonker Street. It's kinda crowded here. We tried many nice food here. Unexpectedly, my handphone was stolen in the crowd and I only realised my handphone was lost after walking end of the street. Losing my Nokia 3310 doesn't matter, it's time for me to change another one because it's old and sometimes giving screen problem because my hp cover was spoilt and might not keep the screen tighten to display, sometimes showing alien words. But I still use it because I seldom use handphone but only for emergency. Although this month I've shared out value RM40 to my brothers and haven't top-up, however I still left RM90 balance. I'll use my brothers' new numbers while they just bought it to use few weeks/months before going overseas again. Contact list isn't a problem to me as I keep hardcopy & softcopy.

Back to the stories of our malacca trip, that night we also enjoy our satay celup at Capitol restaurant, 14 of us had eaten nearly RM100. Then, everyone back to apartment. It's time to celeb my colleague Michael's bday. They also brought snacks & beers. I only finished my chips, 1 slice of mocha cake and 1 can of 5% Calsberg:p Stomach kinda full. We were kinda high and the fellows were kinda funny. While others enjoyed their TV games or slept. The next morning, we went to A-Famosa water world.

Bangsar Village OutBack SteakHouse

Yesterday we had our departmental lunch at Bangsar Village OutBack SteakHouse. It's decoration is kinda Aussie style with Boomarangs hanging on walls. About 35 of us, spent RM1581 here. However, using Citibank card can have 20% discount.
I ordered my Chicken on the Barbie, soft drink and sharing Sydney Sinful Sundae with HuiYing *Yummy*. Nearly 3 hours...
Department is having this lunch because dept didn't exceeded budget as we didn't simply use paper or stationaries. They had also bought a new water dispencer, and asking whether anybody needs any new software for work. hmm... how nice if they can also plan a departmental trip.

PeiChi bought a new digital camera(Panasonic), kinda like it as it's small with big screen.

Yesterday at YongTouFu restaurant, met primary school fren, Lun. I can't recognised him until he mentioned his name. They are now collecting old school frens details, I've just updated my details at their offical yahoo account:p It's only 14ppl participated, waiting us to spread to other old frens. After the lunch, went to KLIA to meet elder bro, flight CX0723.

He passed me his old digital camera, a 4yrs ago technology, Nikon CoolPix885. The memory is kinda small, only 128MB. Now, dad can use it to snap his goods for lelong liao~ Next time I also can upload more pic here:)

KLCC night

Last night, younger brother's frens from Miri & KK were around KL shopping. It's the first time he tried to drive my car after back from Melbourne, I was kinda terified while sitting next to him... coz he's trying to estimate his car and the road size practising all the way to KLCC. Now, I can understood how my dad felt whenever he newly sat my car and prefer to put his hand at the handbreak.

We met at TGV, most tickets were at last night... non of the movies we were interested. So, we headed up to the restaurant for dinner, however the Madam Kwan's was too crowded. Thus, that Miri & KK frens continued shopping. Stopped at Nike sports land, KK:"Among the shops, only this can see...", he decided to buy a sport style bag, kinda like golf bag, about RM290+, bcoz spent up to RM300 can have voucher, so Miri fren tot of getting socks to make up the amount, but he picked his sports pant RM70+... coz he bought a sports pant in Melb using AUD70, considered cheap enough.

After buying a blade at Kinokuniya, we wanted to have dinner at Nippon Tei but it's 10pm closed. So, we back to Madam Kwan's... seated us 4 persons. Coincidentally, it's the same table which I had lunch with Ves and her sister last year. I already had my dinner at home, so I just enjoyed my Cendol.

Renewed Passport

Early morning around 9am, me & my younger brother reached PBD to renew our passport. Nowadays, it's very convenient that no need to wait for the long queue. They have a express kiosk machine which require us to complete the procedures. First, insert old passport for scanning, followed by My Kad, RM300, and photo in envelope... wait for the resit to come out.


It's still early, so we drove to One Utama. Very less people shopping in the early morning, ppl are starting to open their shops. Well, there are christmas little houses on the stage with children rehearsing their xmas songs. We passed by WongKok Char Chan Teng, I ordered Za Choi Yuk Si mee while my brother had his Fu Yong Dan rice.

Time to clear leave

It's getting end of the year, I should finish all my leave of this year b4 forfeit. So, I've applied this month - 1, 2, 5, 6, 19, 20, 21.

Well, they've changed the cameron highland trip to Malacca A Famosa because apartment was fully booked. hmm... but I still prefer cameron, the greenaries of the hill and its fresh air. I've been to Malacca for many times when visiting relatives but seldom visit the tourism places, it was during childhood.

celeb Bday at Pizza Hut

Today, 21 of us went to Pizza Hut to celeb PeiChi's bday. Hardly will have such big group. Around 10:30am, we phoned a cake house at Sri Hartamas to order a Triple Fudge cake. They delivered on time before lunch. Aunty tea lady also paid us a visit today, brought along egg tarts, tasted a lot of food today:)

The row of shop which I'm staying, the water meters were stolen during midnight. The water kept flowing out all day. We'd replaced ours, the neighbour had locked them with chain of locks. Another joke happened this morning when my dad wanna out of the house... the key lock was tersumbat by someone from the street. Ended up using 1 hour to cut the lock. Else I'll need to use the back door to out of house.

Another coincidents, I met Wendy, my diploma classmate. She's been here often to submit fund at customer service center as an agent. If I didn't go down to support a staff PC at customer service center, I would have missed out another chance to met her here. She gave me her name card.

Sunway Lagoon

Morning between 9-10am, we were required to collect our Sunway Lagoon entrance tickets and meal vouchers sponsored by company. The events included speech, tele-match, lucky draw, etc until 1pm. After that, it's our free activities time:)
This was my first visit into the lagoon. Find that the themepark is kinda small, the facilities are quite okay and not too poor compared to genting park. Everybody rent a single tube and had fun for the water round ring but the water is moving too slow. HuiYing even turned my tube upside down while I was still sitting in the tube, nearly killed me but think back... it's fun~ My colleague lost her contact lens while being wipe off in heavy water pour.
Around 4pm, the sky started to rain. All parks were closed and not able to continue our Dry park, sigh~ Then, just took bath and ready to go back.

celeb Sunny's Bday at Feeling

We brought a cake to Feeling to celeb birthday with Sunny. We reached Feeling 音乐空间 at 9pm, still have many places to choose and sit, but the sofa seats were not available. I ordered spaghetti as dinner and a cup of Guang Liang's favorite HongZaoJuZi tea. Sunny and Janet ordered MoliHua tea, as influenced by the TVB show - 一杯花茶. We thought Hoon already had her dinner, however she still ordered chicken white rice with her apple tea. While waiting for our food, the 2 singers were ready to go up the stage and intro themselve. I find that the vocal of the female singer is a little like Fish Leong, so we chosed Fish Leong's songs for her to sing but none of hers were selected. We continued to select other songs like Mayday's 知足, YanZi's 天黑黑(She chosed this:p), Penny's 往前飞... Some other people even selected HuaEr's XiShuaShua=p. She also sang our GuDanBeiBanQiu. We thought the guy guitarist won't sing cantonese, but suddenly he could sing one. He also sang one of our favorite song - Mayday's WenRou!

Because the next day we still have to go to work early, so we ended asked the waitress to carry out our cake with candles. Hoon forgotten to give less candles to the waitress to deco the cake, ended up showing everybody Sunny's age, hahaha~

Janet's Convo at PWTC

We waited outside of the Hall for Janet to come out after taking group photos. Me/Sunny/Hoon shared a teddy bear as a convo gift. Janet was holding her ACCA and 2 bunches of flowers, pink roses and white BaiHe. Bcoz PWTC is near to Jln Ipoh's Yong Tou Fu restaurant, so we had our lunch there with her family as well. Her baby girl niece is so blur and cute... everybody kept showing cute action to get her attention:p She's just 7 months old :o)
Well, we couldn't celeb Sunny bday on 20th... she's gonna fly to Sydney for 2 weeks to work.

Gathering

Today we met at Mid Valley, only Eelin, Raveena and I because Ginn wasn't free while Ves was still in Fraser Hill. At last, Eelin gave me the Redang Island photos in a CD.


We sat down at Sushi King for lunch. I ordered the udon noodle and shared the fried tofu with Eelin while Raveena enjoyed her varieties of sushi, Eelin ordered her tempura rice. It has been more than a year we didn't meet Raveena, she has done rebonding with RM300 coz last time her was having curly hair style. She also shared her photos at KL Tower, her colleagues photos and new apartment. She and her family is going to move to new apartment next month, so she is giving away her 3 years old doggy to whom is interested.

Later on, we shopped around here. I bought another new formal shoe at LangShoeGallery with 20% discount, RM39.92. Raveena used her samsung 1.3pixel handphone to snap our pictures. She looked around the shops to find the digital pest Repellant kit but no results. Eelin has chosen a Parker pen for her best friend at Australia as birthday gift. There's one parker pen displayed at the glass with RM2888 but having 50% discount.

Trips

HuiYing asked what I was surfing, places of Korea such as Mt.Sorak and Lotte World but she said within next year or so might not able to go yet. hmm... then I started to consider Sunny/Janet/Hoon's ShangHai trip, dunno still can join or not. I surf for ShangHai photos, discovered it's a place which combined with eastern & western + old china city style, very owesome~ The ZhuJiaJiao kinda like river city of venice, haha~ but it's not. The XinTianDi scenary kinda beautiful and relax as italy street with coffee sits.

Shopping Day

We celeb Hoon's bday one day earlier and had shopping in Time Square. Hoon and Janet were back from company trips. Hoon was back from Cameron Highlands, so each of us got a keychain, I chosed the red bear. Janet gave me a phone deco string from Bali.
4 of us shopped from 3:30pm until 10pm, got addicted. I spent about RM130 for clothes, shoes, bag, dinner and Hoon's BodyShop fragrance gift:

We had dinner at 6:30pm and chat until 8:30pm at ChiKuHo Ramen, I ordered their Taro set ramen with sesame soup and dumplings. The waitress kept refilled our green tea whenever finished. Bcoz the Cosmo's theme park is above us, it gently vibrates the restaurant, kinda like sitting in any of Japan train station roadside ramen stall:p We planned to celeb Sunny's bday at Redbox on 20Nov, right after my SunwayLagoon family day. Hmm... I should also take leave on 21Nov lo~ Well, next Monday 24Oct I also wanna clear my leave:) Tonight I be their driver, hehe~ got chance to fetch Sunny back home.

Vietnam Kitchen

Colleagues suggested to go OctoberFest at 1U after work. By the time we reached the New Wing Rainforest at around 7:30pm, here were too many people lined up for the EuroDeli food which people took their sausages themselve into plastic plates like being in cheap style buffet only, the RM1 coin beer had finished too.

11 of us decided to go to Chili's but it's also very crowded. We moved to Dragon 拉面小龙包 but 11 seated table was fulled. Finally, we settled ourselves at Vietnam Kitchen, ordered the Set Meal F. After enjoying our dinner with full of joy... the bill was out of our expectation (RM270+). I had the 冰冻马蹄 drink, kinda special:p

The Curve RedBox

Early morning 10:20am I reached PeiChi's house and fetch her to the Curve. Tesco parking is free, so we just parked there. The parking lots kinda full, so many people already out for shopping in the early morning le~ but we still managed to find a parking lot:) Because our K session starts at 12pm, so we walked around to find where is Redbox, hmm... in a deep corner where not very obvious for everyone to see. Right beside Kim Gary but Kim Gary is also like a deep forest le~ the glass like covering the shop name, hide ppl to see inside like that only. Outside of Redbox got a bridge connects to Ikano Power Centre, first time visit here. oh~ so many furniture shops. ahuh~ the single beds are so small, me and PeiChi also agreed. Down stair also got branded things on sales but still expensive. We entered a video shop, PeiChi pointed at Lovers in Paris, her house doesn't have TV to watch, ok I can borrow her my VCDs to watch at hometown. 11:45am it's time to walk over to RedBox.

Once we entered our room 17, HuiYing also reached here... started to choose my songs - JJLin's Freezed & Mermaid (冻结,美人鱼), Elva's Most Familiar Stranger (最熟悉的陌生人), Penny's WangQianFei (往前飞), FishLeong's WoXiHuan (我喜欢)... then the other guys had arrived. The service here not very good if compare to SgWang or Sunway Pyramid, nobody came in to order food and also served in late. Nearly end of the session, the remote control also not functioning, had to press at the main TV there. Nvm la... going to end lo~

After everyone dismissed... me, HuiYing and PeiChi headed to Dome. haha, we sat outside and didn't pay anything... HuiYing got a voucher to drink coffee and cake. She shared her small piece of tiramisu cake with us. yo~ we didn't pay anything... the waiter still automatically served us 3 glasses of plain water which we didn't ask for. When we walked off Dome, they also thank you us wo~ Then we did a grocery shopping at Tesco before going back. I got my Kuaci, Hapi Rice cracker and sweets. She said Kuaci is for old people to bite while watching TV, huh? I also bite when watching TV.
Janet already got Hoon's present... no need to look here lo~ *Looking forward* next weekend's hoon bday... *yeah*

Just now online... msn with younger brother. huh?! thief broke inside his house, stole their laptops. aiyo~ Fujitsu P3, Toshiba P4 & one more. They was out at 10am Wed, nobody at home. About 4pm, his housemate's brother called them their house was broke in. Stolen 3 laptops, handphone, watch and other mobile stuff. They believe the thief came in about 12noon, somebody heard their back door glass got bang. Reported police.

Train Man

11:30am me and my colleague HuiYing lined up at TGV KLCC for Film Festival free movie - Train Man, a Japanese movie. The cinema was just half occupied, eventhough the tickets were all given out, because some people taken 4 tickets but turned up 2 persons. Train Man is about a love story, an unconfident guy met her in bullet train... he decided to take up his courage to win the girl's heart... I like the background music of this movie and also the ending when the girl explain why he touches her. But me and my colleague also don't really like him, if you see already... you might also agree lar. After the movie, we were not able to get the next show - Shutter. So, we bought sugar&tea flavor cinnamons for a drink at the StarBuck Coffee before going back.

The 50th Asia Pacific Film Festival is held at Kuala Lumpur from today 28th to Sunday 2 Oct. TGV KLCC & MidValley are giving away free movie pass. My colleague told me to get her tickets. Coincidentally, today my manager ask me to go MidValley to get some hardware supply, so got chance to line up at GSC counter in the morning. I got 4 free pass and exchange the selected movie - Beautiful, Wonderful, Perfect for tonight 7:15pm. It's a Thai funny movie, talking about a down syndrom daddy rescures his down syndrom son story. His son 'Tong' and his girl friend 'Luk-Kaew' was being kipnaped to sell things and earn money for illegal group. I like Luk-Kaew as she's so pretty in brave/fighting. Long time didn't hear Thai language as well, remember the last time was during Thai fest in Genting. Their songs are kinda nice, I haven't collect any yet. Well, since this free movie fest is until Sunday, me and my colleague are able to catch more on Saturday to have a movie marathon in a day :o)

The haze is getting worst in KL. When I'm out of air-con room, I can smell the smoke, kinda hard to breath. The haze looks like fog, feeling like being in genting but here is hot. Our Sunway Lagoon family day sponsored by company on this weekend had also announced postpone again, it's the 2nd time to postpone already.

Morning ready to work. Discovered car glass was broken by someone last night. Dunno why that person broke my glass but didn't take away the radio or stole my kancil, or anything else. Well, not the first time our car glasses were broken in this area.
