Chinese Orchestra Funtasia2

One of my colleague, Zee, invited us to attend her Chinese Orchestra performance - Funtasia2 '家人有樂2'. Me, NCL, HuiYing & David were giving a try to watch the show.

The ticket is RM21 & the RM1 was contributed to Multi Mutual Charity Association. The performance took place in the hall of SJK (C) Chee Wen, USJ.

Zee in the pink colour shirt:

The music consists of Traditional Music, Cartoon Music, and Collective Creation. The cartoon music - Chibi Maruko Chan, Doraemon, Laputa the flying castle, etc. It's an introduction of Chinese Orchestra to us because they explaint to us the differences of all kinds of Chinese instruments by playing them one by one.

Er Hu solo:

The show wasn't as boring as we thought because it's mixed with funny comedy acting. 五彩缤纷的服装,真有亲切感。The only part which I felt bored was when they played traditional music.

The ending of the show:

It wasn't as high class as the western orchestra which we tried out few years ago but its creativity of this show was outstanding. Thanks Zee to introduce it to us.

After the show, we had a photo with Zee.

After the show, had an afternoon tea at Uncle Lim's cafe.

BookFest 2009

It's risky to go to crowded places because of H1N1 but today it's the BookFest 2009 in Convention Centre KLCC. At the entrance, there were 2 staff measured our temperatures and were giving away masks.

Me & Zing walked separately because reading books is quite personal and our interests are not the same too. Not sure what I should pick, at the end when I wanted to leave the exhibition, this book captured my eyes.
放任心中的一百次流浪 by 刘轩 (RM24.90):

Combination of Japanese grammar from Level 4 to Level 1. Finally found a cheap grammar book and with 30% discount too. Although I have stopped my class already, sometimes I'm still interested to understand their tricky grammar. (RM36.05):

When I was about to leave the hall to KLCC for lunch, Nicholas Tse was there to promote the Digital dictionary on the stage. I was quite hungry that I didn't wait to watch their games.

Company Trip to Genting Highlands

1 Day trip to Genting Highlands which organised by company. They were around 47 staff registered. About 8am we departed from KL Sentral by coach. [3 Photos] from Skyway.

What a coincidence, tomorrow is also S'pore National day that makes Genting more crowded. In the morning, we only managed to line up for 3 or 4 games in the outdoor theme park. After lunch, we continued to Casino. Then, me & Ming Li took our remaining time to play in the theme park before 5:30pm (leaving Genting). The games in Genting is actually quite boring that we'd been playing the same games for this several years.

OYL is afraid of playing all extreme games, so he joined us. As usual, we will accompany him to play the Cup-Go-Round.

When we were at 旋转木马, what's so scary?:

Group photo with my colleagues:

Group photo at The Pavilion (Indoor theme park):

When we reached KL Sentral again, it's about 8pm. Me, CJ & CCM had dinner together at opposite of KL Sentral before going back by Monorail.

Loy's Farewell at Courtyard Garden

Recently there are many new staff reporting to work and also many old staff resigning. I'll be attending many farewell lunch/dinner. Today we had farewell lunch for Loy who had been joining us for 4 years.

This is my set lunch Teriyaki Chicken Chop (Japanese shonyu glaze chicken leg with cucumber maki sushi rice and daikon salad, served with tamago sauce) + Ice Lemon tea + Dessert = RM25:

CWH's Penang Fried Kuew Tieu. He didn't know it is mixed with little pieces of Si Ham, ended up kept picking to avoid eating it because of praying Sea God.

Kam's little portion of Mee Java:

YGH's order, forgot what is this.

Our set lunch dessert (fried banana with strawberry slice on top, served with chocolate):

5 years ago I had been to Courtyard Garden with my boss, Zaila & Chris b4 because of Zaila's bday. In my memory, that time the food of portion was larger than now. Today's lunch, everybody seems like wasn't full enough, so we had our 9th floor warming tea break earlier.
